Anderson). The prequel to the original Dune tells the story of how Rosak’s sister became a Bene Gesserit. The incident involving Valja Harkonen using the voice comes from one called the Mentats of Dune. All three books reference the development of nurses, mentees, navigators, and brush doctors. Reference to AniMats Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020). I wanted to keep this short and concise, but I felt compelled to elaborate on my thoughts, so here it is. There was a time when writers knew how to fit exposition into a narrative without feeling forced and contrived. I understand it’s the first episode, but do they need to lay everything out as if it wasn’t common knowledge? Watson (Valya), Mark Strong (Kaiser), Travis Fimmel (Hart), and Sarah-Sofia Bousnin (Princess) deliver good performances. I feel like the show is in good hands. The other characters didn’t interest me. They shape the story but remain memorable. I guess we’ll see how it plays out. I had a hard time focusing on the first episode. It seemed like part of a whole that couldn’t be divided. I’ll wait the whole season before I start filming more episodes. They did a great job on the visuals. The CGI is high quality, the costumes are perfect, the tone of Villeneuve’s vision is maintained and expanded upon. The art department should win awards for their beautiful looks.
